The great thing about Twitter is that you can update your followers more frequently about your fundraising campaign without feeling like you’re bombarding them. We recommend tweeting at least once a day about your campaign and have even come up with some sample tweets. If you're not very active on Twitter, set a goal of tweeting about once a week.

Fundraising Ideas for Your Store
- Donate a percentage of the proceeds from a day of shopping at your store to the Building Prosperity campaign.
- Host a Fair Trade Fashion Show in your store or at an outside venue.
- Invite a local fair trade advocate to speak at your store or show a fair trade/economic justice movie. Have appetizers made by staff or volunteers and drinks. Make money from a suggested donation for the cover or by selling the food and drink. You could also consider donating a percentage of the proceeds of items bought that day to Building Prosperity.
- Host a Brunch for Building Prosperity. Ask for donated goods from your local bakery and brew up some fair trade coffee. Make money from a suggested donation for the cover or by selling the food and drink.
- Host a store-front car wash. It's not only a good way to raise money, it also attracts a lot of attention to your store. Consider having snacks for people and invite them to shop while they wait.
- Take advantage of the holidays to fundraise and offer to gift wrap customers' purchases for a small donation. Even better if you wrap the presents in gift wrap that's made of recycled material.
- For extra fundraising support, invite your store team members to share your store's fundraising page with their family and friends!
