Today we're giving you the opportunity to easily make a difference in the lives of women in Ghana, and it takes less than 10 minutes: make a $10 donation and ask 10 of your friends to do the same. Through fair trade, Global Mamas provides work to over 500 women, but so many more women in Africa need well-paying jobs to support their families and children. That’s why we're building an innovative, sustainably-designed production facility - the Fair Trade Zone - that will create full-time jobs for 200 more women. Through wages alone, the Zone will invest nearly $200,000 in its first year of existence...talk about return on investment! |

We need $500,000 to make this vision a reality. That number sounds intimidating but we realized a simple equation to make it a tangible goal:
If 5,000 people each gave $10 and got 10 of their friends to give $10, we'd surpass our goal.
At first we thought, 5,000 seems like a lot of people...but then we realized if all of our Facebook and Twitter followers participated (4,283 people), we'd raise $471,130. How cool would that be? We spend $10 - on a few cups of coffee, beers, or a taxi ride - every day without even thinking about it. What if today, you choose to use that money toward something larger?
It will take you less than 10 minutes to make a $10 donation and forward this on to your friends or share on Facebook or Twitter.
